Its amazing how many different things people take away from conference
depending on who you are, where you are in life...
and if you are a Mormon or not..
I have never been one of those people who watch conference, dont get me wrong i would be there looking at the tv but not really "watching" or hearing what was being said
or just sleeping..
This is the first time in 21 years that I remember sitting through and PAYING attention..
well during 2 sessions i was driving a long distance so i couldn't really go take a potty break, read, or fall asleep (thank goodness) but it was like the speakers were talking directly TO ME
Saturday morning, i was a school, and its true the saying " you always want what you can't have" i wasn't able to listen. so i wanted to even MORE!! i ran home to my parents house on a 15 min break and had it set to record on their Direct TV.
At my hour lunch i rush home to watch some tid bits
a lady then started to talk about little children..
oh the beauty of the word she said
it wasnt anything I havent heard before
but she said little children are the first to accept, and the first to forgive..
this year I went off feelings...how I felt after each talk..
and hers hit me, and little tears started to go down my cheek
and if you know me i'm not a "happy crier" boy was i glad i was watching alone..
The priesthood session always interest me..
I love hearing what the Brothern say to the men in the church..
and this year was amazing.
1. use your priesthood
2. enjoy your priesthood
3. be examples of the priesthood..
its funny as girls began to change their status to Go President Monson...
way to get after the boys...
Which apparently he told the young men that their are plenty of girls who WANT to get married..
and what I took from his talk.... Men stay committed to your wives..
Divorces are often becase the men quit their marriage..
and the saddest thing the prophet has to do is grant a temple sealing cancellation..
I heard a lot about serving, serving others, answering others prayers by doing service..
NOW about this "BOY"
so there is this amazing guy in my life right now.. not sure what planets aligned to put our two crazy, AMAZING, funny, Insanely goofy, mischievous PERSONALITY'S together.. but somethings special is going on lately and I kinda like it..
I have been "in LOVE" 2 times in my life.. or so i thought some times people are in "love" WITH "being in LOVE" and in high school 9 out of 10 times that is the case. it was an amazing time in my life the 2 guys are amazing guys and i still consider them good friends and people even though they are both happily married, when we run into each other at the mall or at the grocery store we have a little 3 min chit chat to catch up..
it has been over 2 years since my last "love" and i haven't really fallen for any one since..
i can tell with in one week period if i want to be with a guy or not..
after i figure it out i'm honest so they dont waste there time or money on me and so we dont get too far in to a relationship that when it
doesn't work out we cant hang out as buds i have MOSTLY guy friends and i wouldn't change my relationships with them for the WORLD.. i feel like you should be best friends with your spouse before you even think about tying the knot some times i feel like I already know my future "MR. RIGHT" and its just not the time nor place to know who it is.. could it be the boy next door? could it be one of my FHE brothers that i hang with him and all his friends with that i'm just one of the guys?
who knows!? not ME and i like it that way for the most part...
but anyways.. i like this boy i'm seeing.. and i think he might kinda sorta like me too..
well thats what he says.. and he could be joking.. but theres a good chance he might not be
:)
I LOVE LOVE this time of year when it is getting warm.. just need a light jacket to be out side..
my Parents have been out of town down in So Cal visiting my sister, bro in law, nephew Jackson and soon to be baby girl.. this is my first conference being with out my fam.. usually we go out to grandma and Grandpa shively's out in mud lake with ALL of our fam but not this time cause Gma is not feeling too hot..
ANYWAYS this boy his name is Bridger :)
he Invited me to come out to spend Sunday with him and his family it was
FANTASTIC
*Puzzle's (LOVE THEM)
* He made HOME MADE brownies.. (with chocolate chips my FAV)
* we went to see my cousins and their kids at My aunt and uncles (i miss those guys alot)
* THEN my all time FAV part of the day: we went to the lake and took TONZ of pics.. what guy would do that? i'm playing with my new camera.. the settings, functions, lighting, focus, special effects.. he was such a sport!! i told him to stand, sit, crouch, lay, lean, sit up, go left, right up down.. HE DID IT if there is one thing my man needs to date me is have PATIENCE.. cause i'm kinda all over the place, crazy, out going, and simply just silly .. it was the most PERFECT date i have ever been on..
20 min into our walk around the lake he turned it all on me... he became the photographer and i was now the subject of all the pictures.. we had contests.. picked a area and see who could take the best pic of that area.. I love growing and expanding on what i do/ learn, and in return i LOVE when some one shows interest and i can teach what i love to do..
we got some AMAZING shots.. i will have to post them soon.. and you will see what a great time we had..
I kept saying what a great day (weather wise) it was.. kinda cloudy so it wasn't so bright, but sunny enough for perfect lighting! Then Bridger looks over at me and says..
"God made this perfect day, just for you Jenna"
I got chills its SO true.. just the little things in life God still does for use.. and 9 out of 10 times we all dont even notice.. I for one am going to try and start noticing and thanking for ALL he dose in my life :)
Love always,
Jenna Marie <3
