Sticky sticker trick

I'm so glad I figured this
out before more frustration came. . .
I know companies have to put bar code stickers where is it convenient for them
but it is soinconvenient for the customer.

Usually I have to run it under hot water and then use Goo Gone to get it off. And even then it still leaves a somewhat sticky residue.
So this time I tried my blowdryer (craft heat gun would work as well) while I slowly pulled the barcode sticker off-

WOW it worked.

GREAT MOVIE Facebooks own, "social network" LOVE IT

Bob (Mark Saul): "You know, I could swear he was looking at you when he said the next Bill Gates could be right in this room."
Mark Zuckerberg: "I doubt it."
Bob: "I showed up late. I don't even know who he was."
Mark Zuckerberg: "It was Bill Gates."
Bob: "Oh shit that makes sense."

Lawyer: "Mr. Zuckerberg, do I have your full attention?"Mark Zuckerberg: "No."Lawyer: "Do you think I deserve it?"Mark Zuckerberg: "What?"Lawyer: "Do you think I deserve your full   attention?"Mark: "I had to swear an oath before we began this deposition, and I don't want to perjure myself, so I have a legal  obligation to say no."Lawyer: "Okay...no. You don't think I deserve your attention."Mark Zuckerberg: "I think if your clients want to sit on my shoulders and call themselves tall, they have the right to give it a try, but there's no requirement that I enjoy sitting here listening to people lie. You have part of my attention - you have the minimum amount. The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook, where my colleagues and I are doing things that no one in this room, including and especially your clients, are intellectually or creatively capable of doing. Did I adequately answer your condescending question?

Sean Parker: "You're going to hand them a business card saying, 'I'm CEO, bitch'"

EXPANSIONS

I’m sure several of you have wondered why I have changed things up, sat back and prioritized and now expanding with another blog, and now website, with another expansion of my etsy shop launching later this week!
I am expanding for several reasons, but one of the main reasons for expansion is I want to write about something that I am passionate about.  Cutting hair  is something I am very passionate about ,and it makes me who I am.  I’m also changing things up due to being out of work going on almost a YEAR.  Since I am passionate about hair why not expand.  I’ve expanded due to my belief that great design should be available to anyone and everyone regardless of their budget constraints.
I will still be blogging on this personal blog.  This blog has been my baby from day one where I love to share about my personal life, my struggles,  experiences, and the adventures that I am taking.  This meaning that I may not blog every-day, but I’ll still be here.  I’ve decided to pour my heart and soul into this new adventure that awaits me, and I hope you will support me in all these expansions.
Thanks again for being such wonderful readers.

AS most of you KNOW :D

As most of you know I graduated from high school in 2007 and I believed deeply that after I graduated that I would have to work really hard to find a job.  However, in the end I thought I would find one.  I’m not giving up this thought.
It’s an opportunity that I never thought would occur, but none the less the opportunity has risen.  The opportunity is a chance to go back to school and get my cosmology licence   I know most of you are thinking, shouldn't you have done that back in 2009?.  Maybe so – Maybe not.
Yes, I’m still very passionate about Cutting hair, and it also holds a special place in my heart.  However, I do believe God has given me this time off for a reason.  A reason I’m not really understanding at this point, but taking it day by day is the only option I have.  I believe that everything happens for a reason, and that we should all live life to the fullest while not wasting time along the way.
Saying that – I’m not sure what these next few months hold for me – whether I’ll find a part time job.  Everything is just up in the air which is something that bothers me (I”m a planner by nature.) I’m just all up in the air if this is the direction  Does He want me to wait things out till I can find the perfect job? Does God want me to go back to school and pursue Does He want me to get a part-time job and wait the economy out? Or What?! I guess I’m at the point that I need direction.
Direction from the One and Only from Above.  Direction from the One that I am oh so thankful for being in my life.  Direction from the One that has alway been by my side every step of the way. Direction from the One that has guided me through other tough situations.Direction…on what’s next?!

YUMMY

Luckily, I was able to round up most of the divas to collaborate with me on this post so you get to hear first hand what perfume the Divas are wearing for their men...and why! Stick around and you just might find a new scent today!  Here we go!!

Below is my "secret weapon"!  We all know that we aren't smelling AMAZING every single night when we crawl into bed, right!?!  Sure, you showered that morning, but since then have been running yourself ragged!  I make sure to put on some of this lotion (PINK by Victoria's Secret -  $12) on my arms, legs, and a tiny bit on my neck before snuggling up to my man.  Ladies, it's a winner!  I'm telling ya!  - Love, Tara

I love Pure Seduction ($9.50 a steal at Victoria's Secret) because it's a softer sweeter smell...almost like my husband wants to eat me, which happens to work out wonderfully, because I can't stand perfumes that are too strong or chemical smelling, or the ones that border on masculine.  Soft and delicious all the way!  - Love, Kiirsten

Another glimpse at that AWESOME perfume!!

I love the perfume, Ralph, by Ralph Lauren (runs $35-50).  It has a simple, yet sweet fragrance that lasts through the day.  - Love, Corie

For an everyday smell, I really like how fresh and clean Victoria's Secret's PINK "Fresh and Clean" ($12) smells.  - Love, Kristen

For date nights or whenever I am around the hubby, I ALWAYS let him pick out my perfume, since he is the one that has to like it and smell it on me. :) Plus he has great taste, so I am never disappointed.  His choice this year is Armani Code ($35-78).  - Love, Kristen

I am allergic to perfume, and used to get horrible headaches!  So now I wear body sprays and lotions. My normal day to day is MK Red Tea & Fig. The Beauty of nature. The wisdom of ancient tradition.  The power of products that can transform an everyday experience into an extraordinary one. I got it off of Mary Kay's website, but I could not have described it better myself.  The Deo body spritzer freshens and deodorizes your skin.  Red Tea & Fig cleanses with macadamia nut, raspberry seeds and kiwi seeds, lightly sweetened with fig notes.  Lastly, I love the light lotion, it is nutrient-rich mix of botanicals, emollient sunflower oil, rich in nutrients, and vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant.  Needless to say I have said goodbye to my headaches and my man loves the new smell.  - Love, Charlene

I am a perfume junkie, but these are my favorites by far.  I love the Victoria's Secret line (or I am obsessed with it).  These two are just body sprays, Pink Sheer Fragrance Mist ($20) and Dream Angels, Desire Angel Mist $22), they are lighter in smell.  I will generally use these during the day because they are cheaper, but still smell scrumptious.  The only lotions that I use are from Victoria's Secret - my favorite is Love Spell.  - Love, Kari

On the higher end perfumes - these are my top favorites. Cool Water has been my fav for over a decade. What I love about it, is that it is a very clean scent and it will adapt to whatever lotion I am wearing.  It's not overbearing, but it's strong enough to have staying power.  The plus side is you can find this one cheaper at TJMaxx or even Walmart.  The Estee Lauder Pleasures Exotic is my new favorite find.  I have always loved the original pleasures scent, but the exotic is a stronger floral scent that I will wear in the evening time.  I wouldn't recommend adding this scent on top of a scented lotion - it's really a stand alone perfume.  The downside is you can't really find this anywhere for cheaper.  I paid around $78 for a 3.4 fl oz at Macy's.  -Love, Kari

I use many different perfumes and enjoy nice smells.  Brent and I always pick out new scents for each other around Christmas.  It is always fun to see what he picks out for me, as some have become my favorites, while other I only wear because he likes it.  This was the first scent he picked out for me after we got married (Marc Jacobs Daisy $32-75) and I love it.  Plus it comes with a glitter lotion that I use all the time.  My hubby knows me and I think of him everyday when I put it on.  It is one thing we enjoy doing for each other every year.  - Love, Lisa P.

Cool Water - My hubby's absolute fav!  - Love, Wendy

Refuge - Yummy and super cheap at Charlotte Russe $10!  - Love, Wendy

DKNY- Be Delicious - One of my faves!  - Love, Wendy

Versace- Another one of my hubby's favs!  - Love, Wendy

I love anything that smells like you could eat it!  So anything fruity or anything that smells like baked goods is right up my alley.  I love, love, love anything with coconut (that is my hubby's favorite)!  I also have to say try the Jessica Simpson Dessert line.  It's definitely mostly for the bedroom, but I love it!!!!!  I can't tell you enough how great it is!  What I am wearing right now is Bath and Body Works Coconut Lime Verbena, Burberry Brit perfume ( runs about $50-80), and Jessica Simpson Dessert Banana Split   -Love, Bridget

I love perfume! Unfortunately, I haven't played around a lot to really know many of them, but I do LOVE Very Sexy by Victoria's Secret.  My husband, Dom, is a big fan, especially of their more fruity smells, but I have to like it, too!  So this one we both like :)  - Love, Lisa M.

HARRY POTTER :D this is for JD and LIZ :D

With the last of the Harry Potter movies coming out, I had to plan something for the occasion! My mom got me reading the books when I was growing up. I did not finish reading the last 3 books until I was SUPER sick during pregnancy with our first child. My husband was so supportive and would go to bed with his tired wifey at 7 o'clock. We would spend the next few HOURS reading many books, including lots on marriage! Needless to say we both LOVE Harry Potter and can't wait to re~read the BOOKS with our children when they are older!

I decided for this date I was going to leave my husband in suspense! In the morning I presented him with this letter. (There was not actually anything inside the envelope, so the only clue is what you see on this picture.)

Click here to Print your own letter (and lots more) and here to learn how to fold paper into an envelope!

My plan? To have a movie-a-thon of all the released movies so they would be fresh on our minds before we watched the NEW movie! In preparation, I went to town on making all of the decor for our date...."Harry Potter" style! I am SO excited to share it all with you! Knowing my family would also appreciate all the thought put into this date, I had it at my parent's home. I put this sign up by their front door.

Those of you who have read the books know perfectly well which of these objects are the Horcruxes. And those of you who haven't, are probably thinking, "What in the world is a Horcrux?" Anyway, I don't want to give anything away but, a Horcrux is an object someone used dark magic on to help them to become immortal.

I decorated their kitchen table like this:

Tom Riddle's Diary AND The Half Blood Prince's copy of Advance Potions Making.
Get your FREE book covers here and a tutorial on how to cover your bookhere!

The Whomping Willow.... let's just say it's a very violent species of a magical tree. My brother- in-law is into wire sculpting and he just happened to have this on hand. You can use any tree decoration you have around the house or even one of the kid's toys!

St. Mungo's Hospital is a hospital for magical injuries. Just pull out any First Aid things you have around the house.

This is the ring Dumbledore wears during the sixth book and movie.

The Snitch is a small golden ball used in a game called Quidditch.... as far as,"I open at the Close." Well, you will just have to read the books OR watch the upcoming movies to discover it's meaning.

Of course we had popcorn for our movie night!

Nagini is Voldemort's pet snake. OOPS! I mean, "He who must not be named!"

Dobby is a house elf that becomes a loyal friend to Harry.

Florish and Blotts Bookstore. Where Harry and his school mates get all their books for the year.

And of course Madam Paddifoot's Teashop! It's a HOT SPOT for all the young loves on Diagon Alley. And since my husband and I are the "young in love"- I had to include it on our date!

We had the yummy soup from this post! Thanks Kari, it turned out great!

Having all these decorations out for my family and my husband was really a fun conversation piece! It was so FUN to remember little parts of the books! With all the food, snacks and creative Harry Potter memorabilia, we were ready to start our Movie Marathon! I enjoy the movies but they really don't come close to the books. We are Awaiting the time where there will be enough hours in our day that we could have a Harry Potter BOOK marathon (with our kids) and re~read the series!

Here are both of the printables you will need for this date. Book Printable and the tabs for EVERYTHING else!

Step 1) Print
Step 2) Cut them out

Step 3) Remember all the paper bags from this post?! Well, here is another chance to use them up. Glue your printables to paper bags then cut a nice border around for a frame. This step is not a "must" but it adds so much more to your printables instead of just laying a bunch of a pieces of paper around. You could even use any scrapbooking paper you have around the house!

With there being seven books, I did not have time to put together all the ideas I had for this date. I'm sure if you have read the books and watched some of the movies you have some ideas of your own! I found most of my stuff around the house and at the dollar store. This date was so much fun putting together and it was even better being in the company of others who read (or watched the movies) as I did! Don't worry if you haven't watched ALL the movies yet! It doesn't come out until November 18th! Plenty of time to plan a marathon of your own.
